Sometimes we look in the mirror and all we notice are flaws: wrinkles, dark circles, big nose or a pimple. Often, we think God sees us the same way.

But God created all of us. And He has a special recipe for bruised peaches that makes them shine in award-winning cobblers and preserves.

Today’s wisdom comes from life coach and author of Christian non-fiction books, Holley Gerth. She’s no stranger to this blog. I wrote about her before.

She relays a story about a visit to a fruit seller here.

Her spiritual lesson:

“We all have parts of our hearts or stories that we think don’t measure up. We call them unworthy and less than and we put them to the side.”

I hope you’ll click over to her page and give this article a look. It’s short but powerful.

What area of your life have you considered too bruised or broken for God to use?

Freelance writer and editor whose background in education and BA in English Language & Literature amps her love of all things books. Twenty years of parenting and 26 of marriage gives unique insight to her preferred audiences of women, young adults, and teenagers.
